Peter was born in Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia) where his father bought virgin farmland just outside Lusaka. Game was abundant, so his hunting interest began early in life. Peter’s family would make annual 3 months hunting trip to the \u201cbush\u201d by ox-cart and a keen love of hunting developed. After purchasing his first hunting license in 1968, Peter concentrated on hunting the BIG FIVE. In 1974 Peter married his wife Lucia, who suggested he become a Professional Hunter to continue his love-affair with hunting! Peter now focuses on managing the operations in Zambia and on occasion will still join clients on safaris, while Lucia holds the fort at home and deals with all financial arrangements. Peter’s two sons, Mark Andrew and Peter Jr are both Professional Hunters, continuing with the legacy of offering quality hunting to our many clients. Peter received the \u201c1999 Professional Hunter of the Year Award\u201d from Safari Club International, as well as the \u201cInternational Professional Hunter Award\u201d from Houston Safari Club in 2001.Peter is a Lifetime member of Safari Club International and Zambian Professional Hunters Association.<\/p>\n

Mark grew up in Zambia on the family farm, where he resided until 1993. Mark then moved to South Africa, where he completed his high school education. He attained a Diploma in Travel & Tourism and then completed a Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management by 2002.<\/p>\n
Mark was born into a hunting heritage and had a rifle in his hand earlier than most. It was a natural transition when he joined Swanepoel & Scandrol in 2003. He attained his PH license in South Africa in 2004 and his PH license in Zambia in 2007 and has hunted full time ever since.<\/p>\n
Mark is a partner in the Swanepoel Safari Outfitters ltd Zambia operation and continues in a logistical support and marketing capacity, while focusing on Safaris in Zambia and South Africa.<\/p>\n
